MWS weighed in on Workplace Harassment at Forum

The number of healthcare workers who were abused or harassed has risen over the past few years, and the pandemic is only one of the reasons. While escalation policies, counselling services and other forms of support may exist, MWS Human Resources Director Coreen Chua (middle on stage in photo) shared that the best prevention of abuse is still a good, trusted relationship between staff, patient and next-of-kin.

Coreen was speaking on the subject of managing workplace harassment in the healthcare industry during a hybrid panel at the WSH Forum for Healthcare on 9 Feb 2023.

The event, organised by the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, attracted nearly 400 participants, consisting of representatives and professionals from healthcare institutions, associations and unions.
