MWS Befriender’s Toolkit:
Engaging Couples in Marital Conflict
MWS Empowering Life Awards 2026
Held on 30 January 2026 at HomeTeamNS Khatib, the biennial volunteer appreciation event honoured more than 200 volunteers whose dedicated service has impacted communities in need. Among them were Lifetime Award recipients Rev Dr Daniel Koh, Stanley Lee, and Chan Kum Kit. Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Social and Family Development, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.
Launched in January 2026, the latest addition to the MWS Befriender’s Toolkit series equips volunteers to support couples facing marital conflict. Drawing on the expertise of MWS social workers and counsellors from the Strengthening Families Programme, the Toolkit highlights the impact of conflict on children, common communication and coping patterns, and strategies for healthy conflict resolution.
