Jointly organised by MWS Family Service Centre (FSC) – Yishun and Sembawang FSC, the event held at HomeTeamNS Khatib brought families together for a day of play and parenting insights from the team at Allkin’s Families for Life@Community.
The Calm Collective
From calm parenting tools to emotional regulation strategies for children, the groupwork by MWS Family Service Centre – Yishun equipped families to navigate big emotions.
3 Generation Carnival
Co-organised by MWS Active Ageing Centre – Fernvale Rivergrove and Jalan Kayu Active Ageing Club, the carnival featured family-friendly activities, wellness tips from Sengkang General Hospital, and booths showcasing MWS family services.
Couples Connections Marriage Preparation Programme
From navigating conflict to building deeper connection, the programme by Families for Life@Community – MWS equips soon to-weds and newly-weds with practical tools for a stronger, healthier marriage. Participants gained deeper insight into their relationship strengths and growth areas, while sharpening their communication skills.
Prepare/Enrich Marriage Enrichment Programme
Through guided conversations and practical exercises, facilitators from Families for Life@Community – MWS helped couples married for more than two years better understand their relationship dynamics and build stronger, more resilient marriages.
Talk Space
The pilot initiative by MWS’ Strengthening Families Programme (FAM) offered a one-off counselling session for individuals and couples unable to commit to long-term therapy. Participants gained practical tools and new perspectives to improve their relationships.
Body, Mind & We
The groupwork helped clients of MWS Covenant Family Service Centre better recognise bodily signals, manage overwhelming emotions, and regain a sense of calm and control.
MWS Family Development Programme 2.0
MWS refreshed its debt relief and savings programme to strengthen support for beneficiaries on their journey towards financial stability. The enhanced programme introduced case management visits, a financial literacy toolkit, and a workshop to equip caseworkers and befrienders to better support beneficiaries in holistic financial planning.
